Love yourself…

Proverbs 19:8 KJV — He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good.

…by spending time in God’s Word.

Love others by sharing God’s Word with them.

God’s Word is good for the soul.

Use your gift

Proverbs 18:16 KJV — A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.

If you need more room, use your gift.

Everything you need is hidden in the gift that you’ve been tricked into hiding.

Use your gift.

Tell the story

Romans 10:14 KJV — How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

A preacher is a story teller, telling the greatest story ever told.

It’s the story of the Gospel.

Tell the story.

Centred and established

Proverbs 16:3 KJV — Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.

Commit your works to the Lord and your thoughts will be established.

Build your works on the rock and your works will have a strong foundation.

The way to centre and establish your thoughts is by building on the rock of God’s Word.

A case for studying

Proverbs 15:28 KJV — The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.

You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

You have the mind of Christ.

As He is, so are you in this world.

This is why you study: to understand and experience the fullness of who you really are.

Studying is about acknowledging and uncovering what God has already given you.

Get messy

Proverbs 14:4 KJV — Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.

The bigger the increase, the bigger the mess.

Don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty in working what God’s given you.

It’s time to get messy.

Stronger at 85

Joshua 14:10-11 KJV — And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old. As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.

Caleb was stronger at 85 than he was at 40.

He was 85 years old strong.

You can finish stronger than you started.

Two hundred year old oak trees are stronger and more vibrant than saplings.

Place a demand

James 4:2 KJV — Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.

You don’t have because you haven’t asked.

God’s supply is fully available 24/7.

Place a demand so that you can receive what He’s already provided and said “Yes” to.

Seeing the way

Psalm 119:105 KJV — NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

You can’t see the way without light.

That light is God’s Word, the Bible.

That Word is God’s Word quickened to you by the Holy Spirit.

That Word is a revelation of Scripture brought to you by the Holy Spirit.

With all our plans for the day, they would all be pointless if the sun suddenly were switched off.

Keep the Word of God shining in your life.

Let it show you the path and be the light by which you see all things.

Seeing by the sun

Psalm 119:105 KJV — NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

The sun produces light by which we see all things.

So too, the Word of God.

It is light, like the sun.

We see it, we see into it, and by it we see all things.
