Wake up to who you are

1 Corinthians 15:34 KJV — Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

The standard, the norm, is righteousness.

Everything else is you just being asleep.

You’re not dreaming when you pursue what the Word says.

You’re dreaming when you drift away from it.

You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

Wake up to who you are.

Binge watch your mental movies

Proverbs 7:25 KJV — Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.

Let not thine heart = restrain your heart.

The way you restrain your heart, according to Proverbs 29:18, is to have a vision (where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint).

The wayward woman’s schemes are powerless against you when you’re focused on your vision…your positive picture about a desired future or outcome.

Vision isn’t as complicated as school wants you to believe. It just means the pictures and daydreams and imaginations you have about yourself. It’s the movies you make about your future in your mind.

Binge watch those mental movies about your future. And when morning comes, you’ll still be safe in your own bed, on track for your future, and far away from the aloe-scented death chamber of the wayward woman.

God responds to your imagination

Isaiah 26:3 KJV — Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

The way you use your imagination evokes a response from the unseen realm.

That’s what happened at the tower of Babel.

This is a spiritual law.

The way you use your imagination on earth – the seen realm – influences God’s response to you from the unseen realm.

So get busy imagining God’s word as your reality, and allow God the opportunity to respond to that.

Zero times a billion is still zero.

You’re not alone

1 Kings 19:18 KJV — Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.

You’re not alone.

There are 7,000 others that you don’t know about.

There’s more going on beyond your ability to be aware of it or even comprehend it.

And the framework of all of the activity and behind-the-scenes movement is this: God sees you, God loves you, and God is working all things together for your good.

Keep straight ahead

Proverbs 4:27 KJV — Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

Don’t be distracted from what the Lord has shown you.

Refuse to be trapped bt anything that isn’t what He showed you, no matter how ‘good’ or ‘permissible’ it may be.

Evil is anything that distracts you from what the Lord has shown you, regardless of who else is doing it successfully.

The heart of the matter

Proverbs 3:8 KJV — It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

God loves you.

God loves you as you are.

God loved you enough to send Jesus so that you could come back into the fellowship you had before you were born.

God loves you.

Your response to this truth is the heart of the matter.

Divine order

Proverbs 2:9 KJV — Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.

God is a God of order. Order means that certain things have to happen before other things can.

Things don’t just happen.

Jesus has already paid the price for you to enjoy an abundant life free of all sin and its corruption and consequences.

Your job is to simply let Him guide you step by step.

Find the root

Proverbs 31:2 KJV — What, my son? and what, the son of my womb? and what, the son of my vows?

In reverse order: son, womb, vows.

We’re returning to the root in this verse, which is a signal of what’s happening in the rest of the Proverb.

When trying to solve a problem, take the time to trace it back to its roots.

Before God says a word…

Hebrews 1:3 KJV — Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

…He is and He has power.

And since you, a born-again disciple of Jesus, are one spirit with the Lord, then before you speak a word, you are and have power.

God operates in you according to the power at work in you.

Before you speak a word, you need to know that you have got power because of the One who lives in you.

The word is an expression of the power of the One who lives in you.

You’ve got Him, you’ve got it…so speak.
