Leave it behind

Proverbs 9:6 KJV — Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.

Abraham left Ur of the Caldeese and never went back. Joseph left his garment in the hands of his master Potiphar’s wife and never went back for it.

In the same way, leave foolishness behind and never go back for it.

Forsake the foolish

Proverbs 9:6 KJV — Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.

You’re not stuck.

Regardless of your situation, you can choose to forsake the foolish…everything that isn’t part of the wisdom of God.

That’s a decision of your heart.

Once you’ve decided to forsake the foolish, that it had no part in you, the rest is just inevitable.

Forsake the foolish and live.

Wisdom before works

Proverbs 8:22 KJV — The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.

Wisdom was there before God made anything.

Wisdom comes before the work.

In fact, the work is to get wisdom, which is the Word of God.

It’s your job to be wealthy

Deuteronomy 8:18 KJV — But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

God’s job was to give you the power to get wealth, and also to pay the price on the cross for you to be rich (2 Corinthians 8:9).

Your job is to enforce that Spiritual reality in the earth.

Regardless of your employment or business status, the bottom line is that today is another opportunity for you to get wealth.

It’s your job to do this.

Where you actually live

Proverbs 7:8 KJV — Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house,

You are seated in heavenly places, far above all principalities and powers. (Ephesians 2:6)

That’s where the real you – the Spirit – actually is.

You just need to set your mind to thinking from your Spiritual position instead of reacting to the inputs from your current physical location.

Stay at home in the Spirit, and your flesh won’t find itself wandering the streets at night.

Authority means…

Acts 3:6 KJV — Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

…not having to ask the person who gave you the authority before you do what they authorised you to do.

Peter didn’t ask Jesus if he, Peter, could heal the man.

Peter didn’t ask Jesus to heal the man.

Peter just did what Jesus had already commanded him to do (Matthew 10:8).

You can do the same.

If God’s commanded you to do something, then you’re authorised to just do it.

If God’s word says you can do, have or be something, then you’re authorised to just take possession of it.

You don’t have to ask.

Kindness and love

Titus 3:4 KJV — But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,

Kindness and love are more powerful than you think.

It’s the goodness of the Lord that leads us to repentance.

Do this now

Proverbs 6:3 KJV — Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thou art come into the hand of thy friend; go, humble thyself, and make sure thy friend.

Don’t wait and don’t delay.

The moment you realise you’re in a snare is the moment you do whatever it takes to get out of it.

Revelation determines response and reaction in this moment.

Game change

2 Peter 3:15 KJV — And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

God didn’t just change Saul’s name to Paul, He also radically changed his purpose.

From a murderer of disciples (Acts 9) to a builder and defender of the Church. (1 Cor 3:10)

Seeing what’s actually happening

1 Samuel 17:45 KJV — Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.

Goliath had the height, the military experience, the weaponry, the reputation and the backing and approval of the Philistine army.

David had none of that.

He wasn’t a giant, he wasn’t in the army, he didn’t have a sword, he had no status…and he wasn’t considered a threat.

But what he did have was an accurate understanding of the situation.

He wasn’t going up against Goliath.

Goliath was coming against the Lord of hosts and defying the God of the armies of Israel.

This was simply a matter of Goliath violating Divine Covenant.

David was merely the earthly representative who was authorising heaven’s intervention in resolving this issue.

Victory comes when you align yourself with what’s actually going on.
