Double edged sword

Proverbs 13:13 KJV — Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.

Destruction or reward. Those are the two edges of the Word of God.

You decide which one to experience based on how you handle it.

There is no neutral ground.

Work your land

Proverbs 12:11 KJV — He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.

Don’t worry about what others think.

Work on that idea or those projects that you’ve got in your heart.

If you don’t give up, they will yield a harvest.

It’s just a matter of time.

You have the power

Matthew 18:18 KJV — Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Jesus never lied. Everything He said was the truth. He was, and is, the way, the Truth and the Life.

So when Jesus says the word “Verily”, He is emphasising the Truth and absolute certainty of what He’s about to say.

There are between 55-90 unique instances of Jesus saying “Verily”, and one of those instances is here, where He is describing the authority that you have to forbid or allow anything on earth.

In other words, of all the true things that Jesus said (where everything is true), this is especially true and important for you to understand:

You have the power. You have authority. You have been empowered to wage war on heavens behalf. Whatever you forbid will be forbidden by heaven. Whatever you allow will be allowed by heaven.

You have the power.

Selah.

Riches are not profit

Proverbs 11:4 KJV — Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.

There’s a difference between riches and profit.

Riches are assets, resources, currency, things that are valued and that have value e.g gold, silver, a million dollars, rare paintings, coins, jewellery, signed first editions etc

But profit is about how much you benefit or gain from the riches you have.

A million dollar painting that you can never sell or leverage for money is less financially profitable than a ten thousand dollar bracelet that you can sell.

Gaining the whole world but losing your soul doesn’t profit you.

Riches are not profit.

This distinction is extremely important.

Law of double mention

Genesis 2:16 KJV — And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

Joseph explained it this way in Genesis 41:32

Genesis 41:32 KJV — And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.

And here, God repeats Himself to emphasise His deep desire for man to freely eat of every tree in the garden.

God tells man to freely eat, simply by repeating the words “akhal akhal”, where akhal is Hebrew for eating, devouring, consuming.

The moment God says anything once, it becomes a covenant. We can see that in Genesis 1 and Jeremiah 33:20.

So when God says anything twice, or confirms something to you, it’s a big deal.

Akhal akhal. Verily verily.

G.R.A.C.E

2 Corinthians 8:9 KJV — For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense.

That’s what you have right now.

Receive it by faith, and lay hold of it by faith.

So that means speaking to situations based on what Jesus has done, and not on how they appear.

Thank you Lord that I am rich because Jesus became poor for my sake. And so by faith, I go into this day, and this situation, as a child of God with the full wealth and resources of heaven at my disposal.

Amen!

From death unto life

John 5:24 KJV — Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

That’s what happened when you believed on Jesus. You passed from death unto life.

This has already happened. It is finished.

Now the work is to continually surrender every aspect of your experience to this spiritual reality.

Let death be swallowed up by the life you carry.

As many as

John 1:12 KJV — But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

As many as.

Osos.

As great as, as far as, how much, how many, whoever.

That’s how it always is for anyone in God’s family.

Love seeks early

Proverbs 8:17 KJV — I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

When you love something, you seek it early.

The posture of spending time on something early is both a sign of love, and a cause of love.

If you’re not loving what you do, you can try doing it early and see how that shifts things.

More importantly, seek God’s wisdom early, first thing, and reap the benefits of this chapter.

First thing you need to know

3 John 1:2 KJV — Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Beloved. That’s the first word, because that’s the first thing you need to know.

You need to know that you are loved, and that you are loved by God.

Once you know that, then you’re able to receive everything else.
