Authority and rejoicing

Proverbs 29:2 KJV — When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

Authority and rejoicing.

They go together.

And under the new covenant, rejoicing is part of how you exercise your authority.

Abounding with blessings

Proverbs 28:20 KJV — A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.

The abounding comes after being faithful.

And being faithful isn’t an act but a continuous state of being.

Your spirit carries the faithfulness of God. That’s who you are.

Abounding in blessings is the byproduct of you choosing to agree with who God says you are in Christ.

Abounding in blessings is a byproduct of your identity in Jesus.

The burden  of provision

John 15:5 KJV — I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

The burden of provision of grapes is on the Vine, not the branch.

Your job is to simply abide, to stay connected, and allow the life of the Vine to flow through you.

The key to being fruitful is simply in abiding.

Abiding is grossly underrated.

Glued together

1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV — But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

You and the Lord are glued together. You are one spirit, seamless, with no divisions marking where one begins and another ends.

That’s your reality.

The degree to which you express and experience this is down to you renewing your mind.

Don’t fight the giant

1 Samuel 17:32 KJV — And David said to Saul, Let no man’s heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine.

David didn’t fight Goliath the giant.

David went and fought Goliath the Philistine.

This Philistine.

One of many.

One of those without a covenant with Yahweh…who was foolish enough to attack those who did have a covenant with Yahweh.

No contest.

Don’t fight the giant, fight the Philistine.

The old is gone

1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV — But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

This is the reason for 2 Corinthians 5:17…because you and the Lord are now one spirit.

Remember: the real you is a spirit, who has a soul (mind+will+emotions), and lives in a body.

His presence displaces everything it encounters. The light dispels the darkness. The hills melt like wax at the presence of the Lord. The new subsumes the old.

The old is gone. Fact.

All that’s left is for you to actually believe this and let what this truth that you believe be the cornerstone of everything you do.

If you live godly…

2 Timothy 3:12 KJV — Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

…you shall suffer persecution.

The only ones not suffering persecution are those who aren’t living godly.

Who’s in your inner circle?

Proverbs 25:5 KJV — Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.

You don’t need to wipe the wicked off the face of the earth. You just need to take them out of proximity to the place of decision making.

Creating distance between your place of government and their physical presence might be all you need.

Love them from a distance.

Wisdom copies

Proverbs 25:1 KJV — These are also proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out.

Wisdom copies.

Wisdom sees what’s working and copies it.

Wisdom sees what isn’t working and copies “not that”.

Wisdom isn’t simply about starting from zero and inventing everything. God made sure there were things present before you got here.

Instead, wisdom copies.

War, counsel, safety

Proverbs 24:6 KJV — For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.

You’re fighting a war that others don’t see.

It’s your war. It’s invisible. Others don’t appreciate the battles you fight just to keep showing up to be ridiculed or diminished by them.

But God sees.

God is with you in the war you’re fighting.

God is your wonderful counsellor, and in His counsel there is safety.
