(For we walk by faith, not by sight:) – 2 Corinthians 5:7
Faith comes before sight. The order is extremely important.
First you believe it, and then you see it.
(It = the Word of God that is the basis for your faith action step)
First you step out of the boat (because the Word said “Come”)…and then you see that you can walk on that which is supposed to drown you.
First you throw away your coat (because, blind Barthimeus, the Word has called you – Mark 10:49)…and then you receive your sight.
You don’t wait for a feeling before you step out. Instead, you look for a Word, act in faith on it, and then you get to see, feel and experience its reality.
If you want to see it, you’ve got to step out in faith on what the Word says first.
First faith…and then sight.
