Where are The 3 Stooges?

When Sanballat, Tobiah, and an Arab named Geshem heard what we were planning to do, they laughed at us and said, “What do you think you’re doing? Are you going to rebel against the emperor?” – Nehemiah 2:19

Moths gather around flames. Bad eggs float in water. Dogs return to their vomit. The earth revolves around the sun…

…and anytime you announce a plan to do anything remarkable, The 3 Stooges show up to laugh at you: Sanballat, Tobias and Geshem.

Sanballat means “strength”. Tobias means “tribal”. Geshem means “rain”.

It’s a 3 pronged attack featuring brute strength and intimidation…shaming you into conforming to the norms of the tribe…and dampening your enthusiasm to snuff out the flame of your passion.

They always show up whenever something remarkable is about to be undertaken.

Always.

So when you see them, feel free to laugh, because they’ve just confirmed that you’re on the right path.

If you don’t see them, and don’t hear the sounds of laughter from anywhere, ask aloud: where are The 3 Stooges?

And tweak your plan until it’s outrageous enough to get them to show up.
