John 1:12 KJV — But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
When you received Jesus, you became a child of God.
You joined a new family that bears no relation to the one was merely your physical portal into the earth realm.
You were translated out of the Kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of light.
You were connected to a Body that spans nations, cultures and generations. Everyone who has also received Jesus as their Lord is your brother or sister.
You received an abundant life that starts the moment you received Jesus, and continues into eternity on the other side of either death or Jesus’ return.
You received much more than the tiny wardrobe in the corner of the mansion that you’ve been living in.
