Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer.
Proverbs 25:4
The way you do this is extremely simple and extremely uncomfortable. Just stick the silver in a furnace heated to 800 degrees Celsius and refine it at that temperature. During this intense process, all the invisible impurities that were embedded in the silver (aka dross) will be separated from it, so that all you’re left with is something valuable and useful.
Many times, the perspective on what you need to get rid of only comes after you’ve survived going through an intense refining process.
And the moment you see yourself as distinct and separate from the dross, that’s the moment you are able to enter into the purpose you were created for.
