Today is Day One of an adventure called Save Dali. I’ve had the name for this blog for a long time and until recently have just been timidly “threshing wheat in the winepress”, hiding thoughts and ideas in hidden Google Doc/private WordPress drawers, far away from the chance of anyone seeing them.
But this blog post is a small step of faith to go on this journey with God to see where it will lead.
Do not despise the day of small beginnings…
There is no About page explaining what this is for, because I don’t know. I’m showing up to write this blog in order to find out what God had in mind back when He encouraged me to start it.
But what I know for sure is that the start of this project – and every creative endeavour – is the Word of God.
I may not know where this is going, but I know that its foundation is on the promises of God’s Word – the Bible. And as I continue to meditate on it day and night, and show up here each day to write something, I’m trusting that the Word I put in my heart is going to produce something beautiful on this thing called Save Dali.
Is the Word of God enough? Is it able to sustain and create something beautiful, engaging and world-changing?
Yes, I believe it is. And my hope is that somehow, through me showing up here each day, I’ll be able to demonstrate this reality through the words, music and “stuff” that ends up on this blog.
