But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Matthew 4:4
Speech is the revelation of thought.
Anytime you speak, you reveal what you’re thinking. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. In other words, if your words are the fruit, the thoughts in your mind are the root.
And here, Jesus is saying that mankind was designed to live by every revelation of God’s thoughts, in the same way that he lives off bread.
God’s revelations are your daily bread.
He wants your experience of hearing from Him to be as common place and frequent as you eating food. More so.
God has things He wants to show you. He doesn’t want you guessing or wandering around in the dark.
Speech is the revelation of thought. And God wants to reveal His thoughts to you about everything that pertains to you.
