Stirring up vs Turning away

A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. – Proverbs 15:1

Stirring up or turning away.

Those are your two options when you come face to face with wrath and anger.

Grievous words stir up anger [def: a flaring of the nostrils]

A soft answer/response (beyond the words you use) turns away wrath [def: burning anger, heat, rage, indignation, fever, venom, poison]

The next time you’re in an “angry situation”, ask yourself: am I about to stir up anger or turn away wrath?
