Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye. – Proverbs 7:2
The “apple of your eye” is someone or something that you cherish above all others.
The “apple of your eye” also refers to your pupil…the black hole in the centre of the iris that allows light into the eye to strike the retina.
The pupil is the entry point for visual information into your brain.
The pupil governs the entry of images into your brain.
In the same way, the law of God, the Word of God, is the governor of all images trying to access your brain.
The Word of God isn’t just something you look at with your eyes.
Instead, it is the eyes through which you see everything around you.
