Feels like drowning

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. – Joshua 1:8

Fish don’t know what water is. To them, it isn’t a concept that’s up for debate or even discussion.

But what they do know is the feeling of drowning when they’re tricked out of their element by a lure and some bait.

And when that happens, they flail and desperately try to get back to this thing we call water.

It’s the same with the Word.

You were created to live completely immersed in the Word.

You were designed to go through life with the Word as your operating system, running all the apps that use to get things done.

The Word is the default factory setting that got corrupted when Adam got tricked out of his element.

Now the fish are gasping for air on the beach, debating the nature of water…instead of humbling themselves and allowing themselves to be placed back in their element.

Immerse yourself in the Word. Day and night. Night and day. And before you know it, you’ll find yourself flowing in an element, where everything outside that element feels like drowning.
