Allow yourself to be brilliant

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. – Matthew 5:16

If you are the light of the world, why are you struggling in darkness and obscurity?

If you’re so unique, brilliant and gifted, then why are you so mired in mediocrity?

A huge clue is found in one word that is also an instruction:

Let.

Let your light shine.

Allow yourself to be brilliant.

Note: this isn’t about making yourself very brilliant, because you already are.

Instead it’s about laying aside every weight, every voice, every excuse and every fear that keeps short circuiting what you are naturally wired to do.

You may not be able to eliminate it, but you don’t need to carry it upon or within you.

And the critical decision is for you to commit to shining in the presence of darkness.

Light doesn’t ask darkness to change before it shines. Instead, light transforms the darkness as it shines.
