Abraham was too old to have children. But from this one man came a family with as many in it as the stars in the sky and as many as the sand by the sea. – Hebrews 11:12
There’s a big difference between knowing the works of God and knowing the ways of God.
“Works” speaks to what God does, but “ways” speaks to how God thinks…The thinking behind the doing.
And one of God’s ways is to tell you about all your grandkids when you’re childless and too old to have children. It’s God placing great treasure in jars of clay to show that “the amazing power we have is from God, not from us.” (2 Corinthians 4:7)
So when you find yourself receiving an outlandish Promise when you’re too old to have children/start a new adventure/do something that you should have done 20 years ago…rejoice!
Because that’s a huge clue that God is orchestrating something amazing in your life.
