God blessed them: “Prosper! Reproduce! Fill Earth! Take charge! Be responsible for fish in the sea and birds in the air, for every living thing that moves on the face of Earth.” – Genesis 1:28
This prime directive to man doesn’t mentiom survival, scraping by or hustling to make ends meet.
Those things were mentioned in Genesis 3:17 where God says that ground is cursed “for our sake”.
Note: it’s the ground – not Man – that is cursed. And it’s the act of giving childbirth – not the Womanb- which us cursed. That’s because not even God can curse what God has blessed. Selah.
And now, something has fundamentally changed.
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by “becoming a curse in our place“.
So now that we have been redeemed from the curse…it’s time to get back to the prime directive of man:
“Prosper! Reproduce! Fill Earth! Take charge!”
The war is over. Jesus has won and given you His victory. You’re no longer bound by the power and restraint of the Curse.
You have been redeemed, and now you’re free to walk in the effects of the Blessing that Christ bought for you.
