Look of a King

Then Gideon asked Zebah and Zalmunna, “The men you killed at Tabor—what were they like?” “Like you,” they replied. “They all had the look of a king’s son.” – Judges 8:18

For many, the real issue is not the apparent fact that they will die…but the concern over whether they will truly live before that happens.

In other words: How will you live life before you die?

The men who were killed in Judges 8 walked through life with the swagger and posture of the sons of a king.

Their approach to everything they experienced was framed and coloured by the knowledge and firm belief that their father was the king.

So even when Death drove its carriage to their doorstep, they boarded it in the same manner that they had walked through life: as the sons of a king.

I wonder what would happen if you spent just 1 day or 1 hour fully believing that you were the child of a king…and then taking the actions that a Royal would take in your specific circumstances.

By the way, you don’t need to imagine this, because this is who you are.

Royalty.
