Just because you don’t understand Pokémon (or don’t even know what it is), doesn’t stop it from existing as a reality for millions of people around the world…and adding $7.5 billion to Nintendo’s market value.
And just because you don’t perceive the significance of words like Pikachu, stardust, Team Mystic, Candy, Gyms, Pokécoins, Pokéstops, Lures…doesn’t stop the Police from having to warn Pokémon Go players not to risk their lives in pursuit of Zubats and Paras.
The same is true of copywriting, email marketing, subsistence farming, pearl diving, dressage, tailoring, PUA, Hollywood, home schooling and many other realities that seem irrelevant and pointless to you…until they affect you.
A huge part of navigating through Life involves understanding the Terrain…being aware of the realities around you.
You may not like what you see, you may not know all the funny-sounding words being used, and you may not comprehend how so many intelligent people can be drawn in by such foolishness.
But be that as it may, your responsibility is to understand that these realities exist whether you believe them or not, and navigate your Life’s actions and decisions accordingly.
Particularly when it comes to the realm of the Spirit.
Because as fun, entertaining and profitable as it can be to spend your day immersing Body and Soul in pursuit of Pokémon realities…things of the Earthly realm…remember that the real you is a Spirit who operates from the position of being seated in Heavenly realms in Christ.
[Remember: you are a Spirit, you have a Soul (mind+will+emotions) and you live in a Body.]
You may not yet know what that means, but taking time to understand this Spiritual Reality will ultimately be more profitable…than spending your Life chasing Pokémon realities that Ultimately don’t matter.
