Refuge, strength, help, trouble

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. – Psalm 46:1

“Lord, open his eyes that he might see.”

That was the cry of Elisha when his servant despaired at the sight of the Syrian army encompassed about them.

It’s also the cry of Wisdom in the streets hoping you notice the power of the second word in Psalm 46 v 1:

Is.

God is your refuge, strength, very present help in trouble…right now.

It would be remarkable enough to know that God will be or can be our refuge, strength and very present help in trouble.

But you’re one spirit with Him, and He will never leave you nor forsake you.

So right now, regardless of what’s going on around you, God is your refuge, strength and very present help in trouble.

You’ve got more help than you think you have.
