Be serious! Be alert! Your adversary the Devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour. – 1 Peter 5:8
First of all, you’ve got an opponent: someone who competes against or fights another in a contest, game, or argument; a rival or adversary.
And your opponent is not a lion, but he’s not afraid or shy about acting like one.
Secondly, you are Satan’s opponent…because you carry the same nature of the One who ” went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, because God was with Him.” (Acts 10:38)
And unlike Satan, you actually are a lion, it’s just you’ve been brainwashed into a tame, timid pretence of being something far less bold and majestic.
Satan your opponent is not a lion. You are.
So when you get up in the morning, let him hear your roar.
