Don’t hate the player

God spoke to Cain: “Why this tantrum? Why the sulking? If you do well, won’t you be accepted? And if you don’t do well, sin is lying in wait for you, ready to pounce; it’s out to get you, you’ve got to master it.” – Genesis 4:6-7

When something doesn’t work for you the way it works for someone else, don’t hate on them.

Instead, learn from them.

This is not a moment for you to feel sorry for yourself or evidence that you aren’t as smart/deep/brilliant/special as you hope you are.

Instead, this moment is a signpost towards an area of unconquered territory waiting for you to master it.

It’s a fresh opponent to wrestle against, a new field of fresh earth for you to cultivate and transform into a thriving garden of Eden.

And it all starts with a single decision right now:

Don’t hate the player, hate love the game.
