Strange customs

Don’t hit back; discover beauty in everyone. If you’ve got it in you, get along with everybody. Don’t insist on getting even; that’s not for you to do. “I’ll do the judging,” says God. “I’ll take care of it.” – Romans 12:19

I know it feels weird, but you need to take it seriously that you’re not from around here.

Where you come from, we have strange customs like turning the other cheek, going the extra mile, forgiveness, talking to mountains/fig trees/oceans/stuff… and allowing God to avenge us and fight our battles for us.

And even though these seem like weak and foolish things to the locals, they forget that we also have strange customs like raising the dead, healing the sick, feeding a football stadium with a 12-year old’s packed lunch, prophesying future events with pinpoint accuracy, walking through walls and many other “signs, wonders and various miracles”.

They’re all part of the Life we carry.

So as weird as it feels, stay in your lane of love…and let God “take care of it”.
