For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments. – Ezra 7:10
Preparation time is never wasted time.
And as well as guarding your heart (Proverbs 4:23), you need to be preparing your heart (mind+will+emotions).
Ezra started by preparing his heart in order to seek, do and teach.
A failure to prepare your heart leads to doing evil (2 Chronicles 12:14).
Thoughts, feelings, actions…that’s the progression.
Prepare your heart before you prepare your work.
Prepare your heart in order to do your work.
Preparation time is never wasted time.
