Pay the price to be a tree

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. – Psalm 1:3

What does it mean to be a tree?

What does it mean to be the seed buried in the ground?

What does it mean to germinate in the dark?

What does it mean to develop in obscurity?

What does it mean for your progress to be hidden where nobody else can see it?

What does it mean to have nothing but a tiny shoot above ground to show for all the time you spent underground?

What does it mean to be a vulnerable sapling?

What does it mean to grow surrounded by predators and hostile elements?

What does it mean to take decades to grow to maturity?

What does it mean to be a great oak tree?

What does it mean to be a shelter for the weary, a refuge for birds to make their nests in, an important member of the ecosystem?

What does it mean to be a tree?

What does it cost to be a tree?

What is the tremendous value of being a tree?

Whatever the cost, decide to pay the price to be a tree…to be who you were created to be.

The cost is huge, but the value is tremendous.
