In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: – Colossians 1:14

Through the blood shed by Jesus in the Cross, we have the assurance (another insurance term) of redemption: liberation procured by payment of ransom.
Earthly insurance policies require the policyholder to keep making monthly or annual payments in order for the specified, limited provisions of the insurance policy to remain active.
The Assurance we have from Jesus has already been paid for in full, and grants whoever receives it access to all of its specified unlimited provisions.
That’s what you get when you agree for Jesus to be Lord of your life.
