Therefore write down the things you have seen, and the things that are, and the things that will happen after this. – Revelation 1:19
The future isn’t a mystery, but a revelation. A revelation connected to the things that have happened and the things that are happening right now.
We see this on a daily basis in the battle between: An apple a day vs A chocolate bar a day.
One of these choices is connected to the revelation of a moment in the future when the Doctor is being urgently called for…or casually kept away.
The choices you make today have the power to change what happens tomorrow.
Also, if you dared to look at what you believe or hope will happen tomorrow…what you see has the power to change how you spend today.
“Nobody knows the trouble I’ve seen” is the song the world encourages you to sing as you struggle under the weight of the day’s cares.
But God’s challenge is for you to “Lift up your eyes and see” (Isaiah 40:26).
See what’s happened, see what’s happening, see what’s going to happen…and allow what you see coming tomorrow to inspire your choices today.
