This is my command–be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9
The posture God commands you to adopt each day is one of strength, courage…and a stubborn refusal to be terrified or discouraged, regardless of how you feel.
The basis for this command is the Reality that the Lord – Maker of the Heavenly and Earthly realms – is with you, “wherever you go”.
And this command isn’t a suggestion.
Instead, it’s the secret to tapping into the power of your partnership with God.
His part is to be with you wherever you go. Your part is to be strong, courageous and utterly dismissive of all attempts to terrify or discourage you.
And no, this isn’t a suggestion. It’s the default setting for walking with God.
