Fix it, as in mend it, and ignore everything else that’s competing for your focus. Afix it, as in place it, upon Jesus. Narrow your focus like a laser beam. Take stray disparate rays of light and focus them onto a single point. Take the strays that were aimlessly bouncing around window panes and focus them into a laser beam that can cut through stainless steel.

That’s the power of focus.

And the way you do it is by keeping the Word of God in your focus.

Take a single verse and keep meditating on it again and again and again until it comes alive in you. The day you’re entering is vying for your attention and dying to throw anything and everything between you and your single point of focus today. And if it won’t get in the way, it will try to split your focus down the middle to diffuse your laser beam.

Carnally speaking you can achieve much by having a single focus. But the full impact comes from placing your focus on the person and presence of Jesus inside you. He is with you, He is for you and your life is not your own. He only has good things for you. He has paid the price for you to walk in victory today. He became poor so that you can walk in wealth and riches today. He is with you, He is for you and He is excited about walking through each moment of this day with you.

Fix and maintain your focus on Jesus.

Hebrews 12:2 KJV — Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
