They were among other Jews of the nation of Judah, part of King David&#8217;s legacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They were among the Jews who: had a Covenant, were part of David&#8217;s legacy, and who had no blemish, were well favoured, skilful in all wisdom, cunning in knowledge, understanding science, with the ability to stand in the King&#8217;s palace and be taught the learning and tongue of the Chaldeans (Daniel 1:4)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They were among the best of the best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And despite having the same assets to work with, Daniel and his 3 friends stood out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They stood out from among the best of the best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selah.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Daniel 1:6 KJV \u2014 Now among these were of the children of Judah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: We hear about Daniel and his 3 friends, but they weren&#8217;t the only characters in the story.
