For though thou wash thee with nitre, and take thee much soap, <\/span><\/span>yet<\/i>thine iniquity is marked before me, saith the Lord GOD.<\/span> – Jeremiah 2:22<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Wash your hands with soap.<\/p>\n

That was the advice given to fellow Doctors by Ignaz Semelweis in 1847.<\/a><\/p>\n

He was ridiculed and thrown into a mental institute by his peers for such a ridiculous line of thinking.<\/p>\n

Years later, he was vindicated by people like Joseph Lister who discovered that diseases were spread by germs. Germs that could be killed using antiseptic substances.<\/p>\n

And yet, way back in 627BC, the prophet Jeremiah recorded a statement in Scripture that would have saved millions of lives if heeded:<\/p>\n

For though thou wash thee with nitre, and take thee much soap, <\/span><\/span>yet<\/i>thine iniquity is marked before me, saith the Lord GOD.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In the midst of a rebuke, God revealed the wisdom of washing with nitre and soap.<\/p>\n

In the midst of a commentary on the wicked man, God reveals this principle: your life is heading in the direction of your most dominant thoughts. (Proverbs 23:7)<\/p>\n

And in the midst of us being too busy to pay attention…we’re neglecting gems of wisdom that are quietly waiting for us to notice their true worth.<\/p>\n

God’s wisdom is greater than man’s wisdom. He’s got great things to show you. So don’t miss out on the wisdom of soap…and other things that you might have been overlooking.<\/p>\n

The simple act of washing hands in hospitals started as a recommendation in 1847 by Dr Ignaz<\/p>\n
