Growth mindset or a fixed mindset.<\/p>\n

Those are the 2 mindsets documented by Carol Dweck, author of MindSet.<\/p>\n

From the Mindset website:<\/a><\/p>\n

In a fixed mindset, people believe their basic qualities, like their intelligence or talent, are simply fixed traits. They spend their time documenting their intelligence or talent instead of developing them. They also believe that talent alone creates success\u2014without effort. They\u2019re wrong.<\/p>\n

In a growth mindset, people believe that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work\u2014brains and talent are just the starting point. This view creates a love of learning and a resilience that is essential for great accomplishment. Virtually all great people have had these qualities.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

But as fascinating as these 2 concepts are, they’re both subsets of what Colossians calls “things on the earth”.<\/p>\n

There is a whole dimension of reality and options that’s has nothing to do with what you look like in the natural, or even what you can develop through “dedication and hard work”.<\/p>\n

You are a Spirit, you have a Soul and you live in a Body.<\/p>\n

You are a new creature in Christ.<\/p>\n

You possess unlimited resources and powerful attributes in your Spirit that are fully formed and waiting for you to manifest them.<\/p>\n

You don’t work hard to “make it happen”. Instead, you labour to enter the rest…You exert effort to access what Jesus has made fully available to you.<\/p>\n

Knowing this is the first step towards being able to apply your efforts in the right direction.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
