For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.<\/span> – Galatians 5:17<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Life or death. Blessing or cursing. Left or right. This or that. Either or.<\/p>\n

With all the options you’re bewildered by, they all boil down to one simple choice:<\/p>\n

Spirit or flesh.<\/p>\n

Are you going to walk in the Spirit or are you going to walk in the Flesh?<\/p>\n

Are you going to live by what the Word says, or are you going to live by the information coming through your 5 senses?<\/p>\n

Easier said than done, perhaps. And the Flesh will make a strong case for why now is not a good moment to live by what the Word says: think of the consequences, think of the children, feel the pain, remember the failures from the past.<\/p>\n

The Flesh will try to hijack your mind and your emotions to strong arm your will into agreeing with it.<\/p>\n

And the fuel of the Flesh is fear.<\/p>\n

Fear of what’s happening, fear of what might happen, fear of the situation never changing.<\/p>\n

But the great news is that you’ve got another option: to walk in the Spirit.<\/p>\n

To be carnally-minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace (Romans 8:6)<\/p>\n

Choosing to walk in the Spirit is to choose to walk in life and peace.<\/p>\n

And you walk in the Spirit…by faith.<\/p>\n

So when you’re facing a pile of overdue bills and feeling discouraged because of other people’s testimonies about supernatural provision?<\/p>\n

Choose to walk in the Spirit.<\/p>\n

Thank God for the prosperity that you have in the Spirit (2 Corinthians 8:9).<\/p>\n

Give thanks for as many things as you can think of. (1 Thessalonians 5:17).<\/p>\n

Speak in tongues and ask the Holy Spirit for interpretation of the mysteries you’ve just uttered (1 Corinthians 14)<\/p>\n

Thank God for being your provision and for already giving you everything you need to take care of this situation.<\/p>\n

All of these actions are a direct defiance of the posture of the Flesh which lives by the inputs from the 5 senses.<\/p>\n

All of these actions don’t make sense…But they do require faith. And faith is how you’re going to manifest the promises of God.<\/p>\n

“But how long do we have to keep doing this?”<\/i><\/p>\n

If you’ll place a time limit on it…then you’re walking in the Flesh.<\/p>\n

But if you’ll take your eyes off the clock, off the calendar and commit to walking in the Spirit regardless of what happens…the inevitable result will be life and peace.<\/p>\n

Spirit or Flesh?<\/p>\n

The choice is yours.<\/p>\n
