{"id":3536,"date":"2017-03-28T07:15:43","date_gmt":"2017-03-28T07:15:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/davesali.wordpress.com\/?p=3536"},"modified":"2017-03-28T07:15:43","modified_gmt":"2017-03-28T07:15:43","slug":"freedom-to-serve","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/savedali.com\/index.php\/2017\/03\/28\/freedom-to-serve\/","title":{"rendered":"Freedom to serve"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>\u200b<span style=\"background-color:rgb(255,255,255);color:rgb(0,0,0);font-family:sans-serif;font-size:20px;\">Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me. &#8211; Exodus 9:1<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"background-color:rgb(255,255,255);color:rgb(0,0,0);font-family:sans-serif;font-size:20px;\">Freedom:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:rgb(34,34,34);font-family:Roboto-Light, HelveticaNeue-Light, HelveticaNeue, sans-serif-light, Arial, sans-serif;font-size:small;background-color:rgb(255,255,255);\">the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.<\/span><span style=\"background-color:rgb(255,255,255);color:rgb(0,0,0);font-family:sans-serif;font-size:20px;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color:rgb(255,255,255);color:rgb(0,0,0);font-family:sans-serif;font-size:20px;\">And yet, God defines the purpose of freedom as being: <i>that they may serve Me.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\" face=\"sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size:20px;background-color:rgb(255,255,255);\">A slave is defined as:<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:rgb(34,34,34);font-family:Roboto-Light, HelveticaNeue-Light, HelveticaNeue, sans-serif-light, Arial, sans-serif;font-size:small;background-color:rgb(255,255,255);\">a person who is the legal property of another and is forced to obey them.<\/span><font color=\"#000000\" face=\"sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size:20px;background-color:rgb(255,255,255);\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\" face=\"sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size:20px;background-color:rgb(255,255,255);\">So in both &#8220;Freedom&#8221; and &#8220;Slavery&#8221;, there is service.<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\" face=\"sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size:20px;background-color:rgb(255,255,255);\">The only difference is that God releases you that you may choose to serve Him.<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\" face=\"sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size:20px;background-color:rgb(255,255,255);\">But those in bondage have no choice but to rebel against Him.<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\" face=\"sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size:20px;background-color:rgb(255,255,255);\">God wants to restore your ability to choose.<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\" face=\"sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size:20px;background-color:rgb(255,255,255);\">And when you&#8217;ve got that Freedom, remember that its purpose is so that you can serve His purpose.<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u200bThen the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me. &#8211; Exodus 9:1 Freedom: the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.
