Jonathan said to his young helper who carried his weapons, \u201cCome on, let\u2019s go to the camp of those foreigners. Maybe the\u00a0Lord<\/span> will use us to defeat them. Nothing can stop the Lord<\/span>\u2014it doesn\u2019t matter if we have many soldiers or just a few soldiers.\u201d – 1 Samuel 14:6<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Jonathan was a man who had a relationship\u00a0with God through the Old Covenant of circumcision. And\u00a0through this relationship, he understood that\u00a0the God he served was able to save, regardless of\u00a0circumstance.<\/p>\n

This understanding inspired Jonathan and his armour bearer\u00a0to step out in faith and experience the unstoppable nature of the God he served. And the result of this unified attack by 2 men against an entire Philistine garrison?<\/p>\n

Great fear spread among the Philistine soldiers\u2014those in the field, in the camp, and at the fort. Even the bravest soldiers were afraid. The ground began to shake, and they were completely overcome with fear. – 1 Samuel 14:15<\/p>\n

Now, you are\u00a0not\u00a0<\/em>the same as Jonathan. You are much more.<\/p>\n

You have a\u00a0new and better covenant than Jonathan (Hebrews 8:6)…a “new and living way” (Hebrews 10:20).<\/p>\n

And\u00a0where the Old Covenant was about God being\u00a0with\u00a0<\/em>His people, the New Covenant is about God being\u00a0in\u00a0<\/em>His people.<\/p>\n

“With” is good, but “in” is better.<\/p>\n

The Old Covenant was about “maybe\u00a0the Lord will work for us” (1 Samuel 14:6). The New Covenant is about God\u00a0“working in you to help you want to do what pleases him. Then he gives you the power to do it.” (Philippians 2:13)<\/p>\n

Nothing can stop the Lord, and the Lord lives in you.<\/p>\n

As He is, so are we in this world. (1 John 4:17)<\/p>\n

So since He’s unstoppable – and He lives in you – then you’re unstoppable.<\/p>\n

Go up against that garrison. The Lord is with<\/del> in you.<\/p>\n
