The Eternal awakened Elisha\u2019s servant so that he could see. This is what he saw: the mountain was covered with horses and chariots of fire surrounding Elisha. &#8211; 2 Kings 6:17 (Voice)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In every conversation, every meeting, every encounter, every event&#8230;there&#8217;s something you&#8217;re not seeing. And so at a basic level, it&#8217;s a good discipline to continually ask yourself the question &#8220;What am I not seeing?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But the great news is that it&#8217;s not about <em>your<\/em> effort to see what you can&#8217;t see. Because in 2 Kings 6:17 we see that &#8220;the <strong><em>Lord<\/em><\/strong> opened the eyes of the young man&#8221; who was despairing at seeing the Syrian army around them&#8230;but wasn&#8217;t able to see the horses and chariots of fire around Elisha.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout Scripture we see that it is God who created the Heavens and the Earth (Genesis 1:1); it is God who shut the door of the ark (Genesis 7:16); it is God who so loved the world that He gave His only Son (John 3:16); it is God who works in you both to will and to do according to His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13); it is God who has loved you with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3)&#8230;it is God who is the Author and Finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t worry about all that you don&#8217;t see. Just be aware that there&#8217;s always at least one thing you&#8217;re missing.
