But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: – John 1:12<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In the beginning was the Word. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.<\/p>\n

That’s the genesis of John’s gospel where he makes it clear that Jesus is the Word of God.<\/p>\n

In other words, the Word of God is a living Person. <\/p>\n

As an aside: since all words are born out of the<\/strong><\/em> <\/em>Word, it’s no wonder that words are also living, breathing entities carrying power.<\/em><\/p>\n

Now, in John 1:12 we read that those who received the Word were given “power to become the sons of God”.<\/p>\n

The word “power” used in v12 is the Greek word “exousia”, which means:<\/p>\n

Authority, power of choice, liberty of doing as one pleases, leave or permission.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

And the word “become” in John 1:12 is the Greek word “Ginomai”, which means:<\/p>\n

To come into existence, to receive being, to arise, appear in history, come upon the stage<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\n<\/blockquote>\n

Put simply: everyone who received the Word of God was given permission to come upon the stage of the sons of God.<\/p>\n

The stage of the sons of God.<\/p>\n

The scene of action\/platform for performance of the sons of God.<\/p>\n

The existence of this “realm of being” did not depend on whether or not “His own received Him not”.(John 1:11) Their rejection of the Word was actually to their own detriment.<\/p>\n

But to those who did<\/em> receive the Word, they were given permission to enter into this “realm of being” as the sons of God,  born of God. (John 1:13)<\/p>\n

The revelation is this: you are surrounded by “realms of being” and dimensions of manifestation that are vaster than anything you can imagine. <\/p>\n

And the great news is that you can enter into them anytime you want…through the simple action of “receiving the Word”.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n
