The classic image of a lion tamer is one of the entertainer holding a whip and a chair. The whip gets all of the attention, but it\u2019s mostly for show. In reality, it\u2019s the chair that does the important work.<\/p>\n

When a lion tamer holds a chair in front of the lion\u2019s face, the lion tries to focus on all four legs of the chair at the same time. With its focus divided, the lion becomes confused and is unsure about what to do next. When faced with so many options, the lion chooses to freeze and wait instead of attacking the man holding the chair.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

You are the offspring of the Lion of the tribe of Judah. The nature you carry is ferocious, powerful and a dangerous force to be reckoned with.<\/p>\n

That’s why the World focuses on distracting you with “cares”: what you will eat, what you will drink, what you will put on. Because the moment you allow your attention to be\u00a0divided into various areas of concern, you open the door to confusion, anxiety, double-mindedness and wavering.<\/p>\n

And once you’re in the place of wavering, the Word is clear:<\/p>\n

For such a person ought not to think or expect that he will receive anything [at all] from the Lord,<\/span> being a double-minded man, unstable\u00a0and restless in all his ways [in everything he thinks, feels, or decides]. – James 1:7-8<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The antidote to all these distractions is focus; because your focus determines your reality (Proverbs 23:7).<\/p>\n

And your focus is to be on seeking the Kingdom of God.<\/p>\n

Because when your focus is on the singular Reality of the Kingdom, you won’t be distracted an immobilised by the illusions of everything else…and “all these things will be added unto you.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
