Genesis 6:3 KJV — And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
Is the glass half empty or half full?
Has man been granted a maximum lifespan of 120 years, or a minimum lifespan of 120 years?
The interesting thing about this argument is that it misses the fact that man’s lifespan is supposed to stretch to at least the 120 year mark… a full 30 to 40 years beyond what many people aspire to.
Whether you think it’s a minimum or a maximum of 120 years being promised by God, go for 120 years and decide at that point whether or not you want to keep going.
Don’t stop at 80 or 90 or 100 years.
Go for 120.
