He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough. – Proverbs 28:19
Give me your everything, and I’ll give you my everything.
That’s the deal you have to make with the land, with your land.
To till the land is to become a servant to the land, to be governed by the land, to have your sunset and sunrise be determined by the land.
Your land requires everything from you, and in return it will satisfy you with everything you need…including rescuing you from a vain empty existence that doesn’t invite you to give your everything for everything.
