Just part of the story

And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. – Genesis 41:46

Between the dreams of Genesis 37:5 and their realisation in Genesis 41:46 are 13 eventful years of Joseph’s life.

Being hated by his brothers, being thrown into a pit, being sold into slavery in a foreign land, being tempted by the power of his position in Potiphar’s house, being relentlessly hunted by the lust of his Master’s wife, being thrown into prison on false charges of sexual assault, having his hopes of freedom being awakened and then being forgotten for two years by someone he helped…

In the end, these were just part of the story of events that men meant for evil but God meant for good.

And in the end, after enduring a 13 year trial to become governor of the world at age 30…Joseph lived in this position for another 80 years to die at the age of 110.

In other words, the end result will be more than worth it. Don’t give up now. This is all just part of the story…a story that works out for your good.
