Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.
Proverbs 6:10-11
This Proverb describes the gradual process that transforms a vast beautiful vineyard into a wasteland overrun by weeds. Death by a thousand cuts. Destruction by a thousand moments of slack, neglect, cutting corners and letting things slide.
Now imagine using this same process against “the forces of evil” that are keeping you from achieving your goals and becoming the person you want to be.
Instead of trying to beat them with discipline, try using laziness to defeat them.
So, instead of eating all 12 donuts before bed, slack off and eat 11. Instead of watching all 5 episodes of that new show when you need to go to bed, lazily just watch 4…or watch all 5 whilst doing something else.
Procrastinate in doing “evil”, and watch it gradually get choked to death through neglect.
