And the LORD went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place. – Genesis 18:33
What we read in Genesis 18 is God spending time with Abraham and Sarah…revealing that they would have a miracle baby…Sarah laughing about it and then lying when confronted…God overlooking the lie and then feeling compelled to give Abraham insider information about Sodom and Gomorrah…Abraham negotiating with God on behalf of Lot…
That’s what we read.
But what The Bible calls it in vs 33…is communing with God.
God wants to spend time with you and engage with you in the nitty gritty.
He has insider information that can help you and will make you laugh.
He wants you to engage with Him.
That’s available to you right now, particularly since if you’re born again, He lives in you through the Holy Spirit.
Communing with God is more exciting, dynamic and engaging than you’ve been lead to believe.
Selah.
