But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; – 1 Corinthians 1:27
Weak and foolish things.
Those are the things God loves to choose.
Those are the things God has already chosen to use, way before the foundation of all creation.
He’ll use a stammering Moses to lead His people out of Egypt.
He’ll use a fearful Gideon to defeat the mighty Midianites.
He’ll tell Namaan the Syrian leper to dip seven times in the River Jordan, and then restore his skin to better than it was ever supposed to be.
He’ll use a religious “Christian killer” zealot called Saul of Tarsus to be one of the key builders of the early church.
And He’ll take you, in that weak and foolish situation that you find yourself in, and do something that amazes and confounds everyone, including you.
Weak and foolish things.
Wherever you see them, see them as the opportunity for God to do something amazing on your behalf.
