Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox. – Proverbs 14:4
Many great ideas have been destroyed by one simple thought:
I don’t think I can be bothered to wash up.
It’s not that you don’t want to do it.
You do.
But the thought of having a stack of dirty dishes to take care of afterwards can be so daunting that it keeps you from even asking the logical question:
Who could help me deal with the mess connected to this idea?
Whether it’s starting a family, writing a book, dropping out of University to start a company, switching careers, losing weight…
Everything worth doing comes with attendant disruption, interruptions, feelings of anxiety, new skills you need to acquire, getting things wrong, being laughed at, feeling like a fraud…mess.
But if you’re willing to deal with the mess, then you’re willing to receive the increase that leaves the mess.
