I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. – John 15:5
Today we celebrate our complete reliance and dependence on Jesus.
He is the vine and we are the branches.
Apart from Him, we can do nothing.
Connected to Him, we can do all things.
Apart from Him, we are nothing.
In Him, we find a shared identity and connection to each other.
We are not in this by ourselves.
There is no “we” without Him.
And “we” are never without Him.
Happy 4th of July.
