Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. – John 14:1
Regardless of what’s going on around you, and regardless of what is about to happen…let not your heart be troubled.
Jesus wouldn’t have asked you to do something that you can’t do.
Regardless of what has happened, is happening, or is about to happen, you do have a choice in how you respond.
And Jesus’ counsel is for you to “let not your heart be troubled”.
Like a ship sailing on a stormy sea, you can deal with troubling situations without letting them into your heart.
In fact, the only way to overcome troubling situations is by refusing to let the trouble into your heart…your mind, will and emotions.
Others will think you’re weird for doing this, or living in denial.
But they’re the ones who are weird for choosing to sail their ship whilst intentional scooping pails of water into it.
Let not your heart be troubled…it’s an option available to you right now.
