And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. – Matthew 14:29
When Peter stepped out of the ship to walk to Jesus, he wasn’t walking on water.
He was walking on the Word that he’d asked Jesus to give him.
Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. (Mt 14:28)
Once Peter had that word, he was able to mix it with faith by stepping out of the boat to come to Jesus.
And the consequence of that action was that he walked on the water to Jesus.
But when he allowed fear into the faith+word mix, the result was that he began to sink.
Remember, it isn’t about the wind, or the waves or the weather.
It’s about the Word you’ve received, and the faith actions you combine it with.
