Blessed in trouble

And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. – Genesis 39:2

God led Joseph into a place of trouble…and blessed him there.

The blessing existed and operated within the vicinity, parameters and constraints of trouble.

The blessing didn’t make the trouble go away. In fact, the blessing was submitted and committed to serving the place of trouble.

So don’t focus on trying to leave the place of trouble in order to be blessed.

Realise that God is with you to bless you wherever you happen to be. And so when He leads you into trouble, understand that the blessing is on you in that place of trouble.

Once you grasp this, you can then lean into the place of trouble and feel for the presence of God in the fabric of your circumstances.

He’s with you, He’s working on your behalf, and He’s placed you in Potiphar’s house to prosper you.

Take this to heart, and you’ll start seeing it in your life.
