He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. – John 7:38
A river is not a puddle or a stream.
A river isn’t even a swimming pool.
A river is teeming with life…crocodiles, snakes, piranhas and hyacinth.
A river is powerful…coursing between its banks, cutting swathes across the landscape, patiently wearing down rock over time, swirling with dangerously underestimated currents.
And that’s just talking of one river.
But Jesus is talking about a minimum of two rivers flowing out of each person who believes in Him.
In other words, you aren’t just a person taking up space on this planet.
You are born again, filled with the Holy Spirit…and the waters that flow out of you to everyone around you are dangerously alive.
